Editorial: RIP Morning and Afternoon Shows
by: Jamie R.
If you are seventh or eighth grade then you had the afternoon show last year and the morning show a year before that. This year we have neither. We have morning announcements but they are not as interesting so not many people tune in. It was also a great opportunity for kids to experience being on the show. Now we have some people that say an announcement but it is not as much of an experience because they just read from a script which is not as fun. We also liked to see our friends on the TV so more of us would watch it. We now have the bulling program on Monday at advisory but not many people actually watch it. I think it could really make a difference if people watched it. I think that all of us students really wish that we had the morning show back. Last year I wanted to try out for the afternoon show for this year but we didn’t have it so I couldn’t. Another student says “You can’t even hear the announcements in the morning, and I don’t even listen!” We also had raffles on the morning and afternoon shows and those were so much fun to participate in! I hope the morning and afternoon show come back soon!!!!

Have Matt Green do it. He has a great sense of wit. Is reknown for his crazy cat stories among his peers. He is well loved throughout the 7th grade. He will be fair and balanced.
ReplyDeleteThe morning show was always a big hit. You guys need to bring back the Hot Seat. That was great, being a six grader, and waiting every Friday for the Hot Seat. Also, we need to have the joke of the week, which Cooper Deal always did. That was very funny. Last but not least, do not forget Timmy Burke's movie review. That was great, I like seeing what movie was next every week. I have asked Timmy and Cooper and they are very upset about the morning show. I hope we bring it back.
