Editorial: The Pressures of High School Scheduling
By: Katherine C., Katelyn A., Brianna C.,and Julie H.
Most students may think it’s too early to be thinking about the upcoming 2011-2012 school year. However, for this year’s 8th graders, high school scheduling has already begun.
By now, many eighth graders have probably already taken the career inventory test with Mr. Croal. This shows what interests you have for possible future careers and career pathways. High school classes influence what you will do for the rest of your life, and there are many choices for our future.
There are so many possibilities, some students may feel overwhelmed with all the choices that they have. While these classes are very important, you don’t have to feel pressured to make choices that are set in stone for the rest of your life. The best plan of action is to just do whatever interests you. Pick classes that will be challenging, but make sure you still have time for electives and after-school activities.
Good luck!!!
