This is a new editorial piece that will be running. It’s about how all the students in 7th grade say that it’s the worst year of middle school. I will pick a problem that has appeared in Brunswick Middle.
It’s the worst year of middle school because everybody walks through your hall way and it gets really crowed especially when it is time to pack up. There already isn’t enough room to have people standing right next to each other because our lockers are so close and skinny; it’s less than a normal body with. So when the kids walk through, it makes it more jammed.
Then, of course, kids have to push and play around and can’t wait until it starts moving again. The teachers do try and help but there is only so much they can do. Like one time I saw a teacher try and tell people to just walk and when she tried to yell there was so much noise you can’t enough hear yourself.
Plus there are friends that just stand there and talk making the width of the hallway even smaller than it should be. What I would do if I could change something is spread the kids out more. We have a whole hall way with lockers not used. So we could spread out the students and fix a lot of problems.
