Editorial: Where's My Grade?

Do you have teachers that all they have you do during class is busy work? Or teachers that assign all this homework and not collect it? Well I do and I’m fed up with it. I spend hours on my homework at night and teachers don’t even mention it the next day. There’s also those teachers that go over it in class and don’t even check to see if you did it.

I feel like last year teachers were much more on top of all the work they assigned. They made sure it was gone over in class and collected for a grade. This year teachers have been much more laid back about the work. Not all teachers are but some never go over or collect the work.

These are also the teachers that don’t put any work in pinnacle. So, when you don’t do well on a test, it plummets your grade. There are two types of grades in pinnacle: Summative and Formative. Summative grades are more important grades like tests, and they are weighed more than formative grades. Formative grades are homework, and classwork grades. They are weighed less.
