Entertainment: Creative Writing-The Emotional Bumblebee
by: Rachel B. and Brianna C.
One day the emotional bumblebee named Bumbleburt left the hive to go find a flower, but he found no flower. He flew all around the town to try and find a flower, but he couldn’t find one. He got very angry. He really wanted to find a flower because he couldn’t contribute very much to the hive because Bumbleburt had a deformed wing and wasn’t very good at flying. When bumblebees get angry or threatened they sting people, so Bumbleburt was looking for the perfect victim.
He saw a lady coming out of a store carrying a bouquet of flowers. He puttered towards the flowers. He hit one of the pedals and tried to get the nectar out of the flower, but nothing happened. He was very confused. The lady screamed out of terror because she was allergic to bumblebees. Bumblebert was so angry because they flowers were plastic. He wanted to sting the lady very badly, but he remembered how his mommy told him to never sting someone because you will die! Bumblebert didn’t really care because he wanted to find flowers and feel loved by his fellow bumblebees. Without hesitation he puttered towards the lady’s head. When bumblebert went to sting her he found some there were some complications because he was stuck in the lady’s hair. This made Bumblebert very angry. He was so determined he finally found the ladies scalp. He stung her head and she screamed.
The lady got him out of her hair and he fell to the ground. He knew he would die now and had failed his mission to find a flower. He looked to the sky and saw snowflakes falling and then he knew flowers don’t grow in winter. He then started to get dizzy and the last thing he saw was the lady he stung being put into an ambulance because she was allergic. He knew his family loved him anyway because he had tried and that is the one thing we must all do as people; to try our best.
This is the moral of our story. Even if you don’t find a flower or what you wanted most, the only thing that matters is that you tried, just like Bumblebert who will be remembered and missed.
The End
