Ask the Potomac Press!
You asked! We answered! Remember, if you have a question, send it to askpotomacpress@gmail.com. Let's take a look at one of the recent letters we received and the response we gave.
Dear Potomac Press,
I know you guys help with different problems so I thought I would write in. Here's the deal..........I am addicted to video games!! Ever since I got the new Call of Duty, I can't stop playing. I don't do my homework. I don't study. I don’t do anything but play the game. My grades are starting to slip. How can I stop playing????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Dear Zippy,
When you get home don’t make video games your first priority. When you are in stay-back don’t mess around with your friends. You should try to do your homework and stay focused. Sometimes when you want to go to the gym or mess around, you need to discipline yourself and get done what you need to get done because in the future it will reflect upon you. Considering the fact that you do not do you your homework and you might be in tutoring you should pay attention and get the most out of it as possible. Pay attention and don’t be afraid to ask question (even in class!) Use video games as a motivation to do your work. For example write a calendar considering what time you spend video gaming, and what you do when you get home. For example:
3:30pm Eat a snack
4:00 Do homework
5:00 Chores
5:30 Free Time i.e VIDEO GAMES!!!!
6:30 Dinner
7:00 More free time
10:00 Get ready for bed!
Hope this will help!
