Ask the Potomac Press!
Dear The Potomac Press,
I have a big issue! It’s the Christmas Season and I don’t have any money for gifts!!! I want to get gifts for my family and friends but I feel like I don’t have anything to give them. Do you have any ideas?!
Secret Santa
Dear Secret Santa,
You have a very common problem!! A lot of people don’t have money for gifts. One thing you can do is buy things at the holiday rail store with rail passes! It’s not the best thing but sometimes you find candles for your mom. Another thing you can do is make gifts. There are tons of instructions online to make your own gifts! Here are some websites: www.familyfun.com, www.marthastewart.com, and www.getrichslowly.org. Or even a simple card will do the trick! Christmas is time to be creative! Good luck with your gifts!

Dear the Potomac Press,
I have a big problem! All my friends celebrate Christmas, but I am Jewish and celebrate Hanukkah. I don’t mind this holiday, but what bothers me is that everyone assumes that everyone celebrates Christmas. I want to tell them, but don’t know how. What should I do?
Lonely Hanukkah
Dear Lonely Hanukkah
This is a great chance to celebrate your diversity. What you could do is just tell your friends. They will accept you no matter what religion you are. It doesn’t matter is everyone is different. It could be just different to them and they have to get used to it

Dear The Potomac Press,
My mom is embarrassing. She yells at my basketball game. She has to have a lollipop to keep her mouth shut when she does the book. She screeches really loudly too and yells at my teammates…all my friends love her though. What should I do?
Basketball Girl
Dear Basketball Girl,
Talk to your mom before the game and ask her to not yell so much during the games. Buy a bunch of lollipops to give to her for Christmas!! Just ask her nicely to keep her mouth shut during your game and she should agree.
