Interview with Mrs. Vogler: 6th Grade Teacher
Q. How different are the new 6th graders than the past?
A. “Okay, I am going to tell you. ‘Kids are Kids’. From 3rd graders to 6th graders, my entire teaching career, I have been thinking of that quote. Some give 100% and some you have to push a little. But overall they are a little smaller
Q. Are there any new issues this year?
A. “Yes, definitely. Advisory has been an issue this year. We need to work out glitches”
Q. What do you think has to improve this year?
A. “I think that overall, student behavior needed to be improved”
Q. Are there any new projects or plans this year?
A. She’s ‘going to attempt a musical’ this year for Theatre Arts. In Integrated Studies, she is using glogster to imbed all of the student projects. So it will be a portfolio for them and their parents to access at home.
Comments:
“BMS is almost like a new school with all the new teachers and students, like a completely different school. People leaving, people here, good and bad. BMS is a great place to be a part of. And Brunswick is probably “one of the best kept secrets in Frederick County”
