Editorial-Sports+Homework=Problems

by: Julie H.

Sports interfere with our homework. We can have practice, an appointment, or something else, and those can interfere with getting homework done. Since sports get in the way, we don’t have time to do our homework and then we get bad grades in school and can’t go to practice. Then our parents and coaches get upset. So the question is: How do we solve this?

There are a few solutions to solve this problem listed below:
• Pay attention in class. If you don’t get the curriculum ask questions so tests and homework will be easier and take less time.
• Ask for tutoring. If you don’t have enough time at home, go to your teacher and ask if you can come in. In that time you can get homework done and have complete access to help.
• Don’t procrastinate. If you get home early enough then don’t put your homework aside. Do it as soon you get home.
• Lastly, try to get it done in class. If you have enough time before the bell, start it and then maybe you won’t have as much to do later.

If you do these things then you can be on your team, have more free time, and better grades. You will also get into less trouble with your teachers, coaches, and parents. These are just a few ways that you can be on a team and get good grades. Of course there are other options that you can use according to your schedule, but these are the most frequently used strategies.

This issue has been discussed by: Ask the Potomac Press and a student. If you can follow these steps, you’ll be successful in sports and school. :)
