Sports-An Early Season Review of the NFL's Premier Rookies
By: Connor K. & Luca R.
There are some very talented Rookies this year in the NFL we are seeing how they have produced after 6 weeks of the NFL season.
The 1 one pick of the draft Sam Bradford has played fairly well through the first six weeks of the NFL season. Although he has a 69.3 passer rating He has a good amount of touchdown passes at 7. He also has many interceptions this season averaging more than 1 a game.
Ndamukong Suh the 307 pound DT already has 3 sacks and 1 interception. This is great for any player in the league not to mention a rookie. He is on pace to break 10 sacks on the season.
Dexter McCluster is a high energy player for the Kansas City Chiefs. He has started out the season well with explosive returns including a 94 yard touchdown against the chargers on Monday night football. He averages a high 23.7 yards per punt return. Lately he has been a bigger part of the Chiefs offensive scheme.
Jahvid Best has been very productive in the 2010 season. He is the spotlight in the Lion’s offense and is running very well behind a not so great Lion’s offensive line. Though Jahvid was sidelined because of a foot in jury he bounced back the very next week. He is a threat not only as a runner but also catching the ball in the backfield and getting good yardage. He has 5 total touchdowns after 6 games I predict that he will continue to produce for the Detroit Lions.
C.J. Spiller the Bills first round pick had a lot of hype going into the 2010 season. He has not lived up to the hype yet with only 80 yards in 5 games and only 45yards receiving. I don’t think the Bills have given the young player enough carries this season. I expect him to get more involved in the offense and produce once he does.
Trent Williams Has done an amazing job blocking throughout the season including blocking great Colts defensive end Dwight Freeny. His only setback this season was a minor knee injury.
Dez Bryant Hasn’t been producing in the early weeks of the NFL season. He has very few yards and only 1 touchdown this season. I think that if he gets involved more in the offense the yards and touchdowns will come.
Ryan Mathews Has been very, very productive this NFL season. He was doing great until he was injured. He already has 282 yards and a touchdown in 5 games.
